Truth is Christ is a small online ministry run full-time by me, Brandon Peterson. Through this ministry, I hope to:
- Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ
- Preach the gospel
- Restore faith in the Bible
For the first five years after being saved, my walk with Christ was lukewarm. Reading the Bible felt like a chore, and I had little desire for the things of God. During those years, I read from modern Bible versions such as the NIV and ESV, and never once picked up a King James Bible.
But everything changed when I began exclusively reading from the KJV. I knew nothing about manuscripts or about all the differences or anything else. All I knew was my walk with Christ took a complete 180-degree turn. Scripture no longer felt dry to me. It was living water to my soul. My love for God’s grace and truth grew rapidly, and with it came a burden to point other believers to that same river of healing and renewal.
Truth is Christ was not born out of a desire to attack modern Bible versions or criticize those who use them. It was born out of gratitude for what God had done in my own life through his word, and a hope that others could have the same.
Beliefs
I believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ alone. I believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that God has preserved his words throughout history according to his promises.
I believe the King James Bible is the “book of the LORD” spoken of in Isaiah 34:16– a preserved and unified Bible that perfectly contains all of God’s words in one place for the world to seek out of and read. Though the KJB is in English, I believe anything equivalent to it is also the word of God, no matter what language. Much of this ministry is dedicated to studying, defending, and restoring confidence in the King James Bible through scripture, history, translation comparisons, and numerical patterns that testify to its divine approval.
While the King James Bible issue is a major focus of my ministry, my desire is not to win arguments. I truly want to help people. My hope is that they trust God’s word completely, and draw closer to Jesus Christ, abiding in him each day.

My videos primarily focus on the King James Bible issue, numeric patterns in scripture, Bible studies, and related topics that exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. Some videos are simple teachings or passing on of my latest findings, while others are in-depth studies and documentaries that involve years of research.

Over time, several websites have been created through this ministry to make biblical resources freely available online:
- KJVCode.com — A website dedicated to Bible numerics and structured patterns found within the King James Bible. It contains patterns, descriptions, charts, FAQs, and ongoing research related to numerical evidence for divine inspiration.
- KJVCompare.com — A growing verse-by-verse comparison website that highlights differences between the King James Bible and modern Bible versions, along with explanatory notes.
- KJVCharts.com — A collection of free printable charts, study materials, graphics, and other resources that compliment my research.
- KJVStudy.com — A future website currently in development. In scope, it is the largest and most ambitious project I will ever attempt- providing exhaustive cross references for every line of the Bible. It is expected to take many years to complete, but will be available in progressive stages.
Books
I have also written and published several books connected to the ministry’s research and teaching work.
My titles currently include:
- Sealed By The King — (2022) A collection of notes detailing numerical patterns in the King James Bible.
- The Story of David (KJV) — (2025) A unified narrative presentation of the life of David compiled from 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 1 Chronicles, and Psalms.
- Revelation 21–22 KJV: with Expanded Cross References — (2026) The last two chapters of the Bible with 600+ expanded cross references.

Biography
I grew up in Lancaster, PA (the land of the Amish). I went to church every Sunday as a child, but all of that head knowledge did not produce a new creature in Christ. I knew that Jesus was the Son of God, and I knew he died on the cross, and I knew that he rose again, and I trusted him – but I never came to him as a sinner who needed salvation from my sins.
I put my faith in Christ in May 2014 at 21 years old after hearing a sermon clip online while living in Virginia. For the first time, it clicked. I was a sinner. Not only was I sinner; but God hates sin, and sin could never enter into his holy presence. I understood quite suddenly, that without Jesus, I was going to hell for my sins. So all alone, I went to my knees before Christ, and asked him to save me. And when I did, all of that fear turned into joy. It felt like chains physically fell off of my soul. And I knew right away that I was different, and that the Spirit had entered into me.
But for such a powerful conversion, the next five years would not follow in the way you would expect. My walk with Christ was rather lukewarm. I would rather watch sports or play video games than read my Bible. I didn’t prefer it this way. I knew that I was falling short. I knew I should have had a desire for God’s word. But I simply didn’t. And I couldn’t figure out why. Over and over again, I would ask God: “What do you want me to do?” I prayed that prayer continually, for at least a year. Maybe more. I didn’t understand what God’s purpose was for my life. I wanted to serve him, but all I received from him was silence.
All of this changed in 2019, when I started reading from the King James Version. The change was immediate and apparent for all to see. My wife noticed it the most. My conversations changed from business and entertainment to Jesus Christ and doctrine. The Lord used his word to completely transform my life and give me a deep love for scripture, the gospel, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Shortly after I started reading from the King James Bible, I stumbled on some articles online that suggested numeric patterns in Hebrew and Greek. And as I learned more about them, and as the Lord sanctified me through the KJB, I began to wonder… what if this book, which God has used so greatly in my life, is numerically sealed? And as you can imagine, I pursued that curiosity. At first, I was looking for patterns that were similar in nature to the Hebrew and Greek patterns that I was familiar with. But as time progressed, and the more I believed, the more God revealed to me directly from his word. The strongest patterns were not encrypted, nor were they to be revealed through a series of creative calculations. They were blatant and in your face; using numbers and figures that were directly intertwined with each other in scripture itself. I became convinced quite quickly, and though I’ve matured a lot in my knowledge and understanding of these things, experiencing the full weight of the Dunning-Kruger effect, I remain more convinced today than ever before that the King James Bible is signed and sealed by Jesus Christ himself. There is simply no other feasible explanation for the blatant, contextually coherent patterns that are factually present in this Bible, which is the most printed and influential book in history.
Today, I live in North Carolina with my wife, Laura, and our six children — three boys and three girls. Several of our children were adopted through foster care, which has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives.
Before entering ministry full-time, I spent many years running a digital design agency where I worked as a creative director. Truth is Christ originally began outside of normal work and family life. Videos were made late at night, during weekends, and whenever time could be found. I poured my heart and soul into it, praying that the Lord might use it for his glory.
As the ministry budded and grew, so did the conviction that the Lord was calling me to give myself to it fully. In early 2024, after months of prayer and seeking the Lord’s direction, I was called by the Lord to “lay aside every weight” and step away from my design career to pursue this ministry full-time. And so I did. And the Lord has provided for us at every turn, even when it didn’t make sense.
Please pray for me and for this ministry, that I might continue in humility and the will of God, all by his grace.
